The first stage means you have just broken up. Usually, it is from 0 to 30 days. When you have just broken up, this is really not the time to think about getting your girlfriend back.

The reason is very simple. At this point of time, you are simply too confused to really know what you want. There is a very high risk of making the wrong decision that you may regret. Also, you do not want to contact her as you may tempt to say the wrong things with the emotional turmoil you are currently going through.

You will want to make use of this time to allow your emotions to heal. Perhaps, 30 days will be a good period of time before thinking how to get your lover back.

The second stage is after the 30 days period. By now, you may be ready to face her already. You have thought through things and you don't want to let go of the relationship yet. You want to get her back.

What you should know is that you do not want to be too impatient. You do not want to call her too many times. Instead, if you didn't get her to answer your phone call, you will want to wait for a few more days before you call her again.

Take note that there are no hard and fast rules for the 2 stages. You may need to take more than 30 days to cool day, say 35 days. Then for you, your stage 1 will be from 0 to 35 days. Don't rush things if you are not ready to meet her yet.
