AquaLand is a water park which is based just outside of the popular tourist area of Albufeira. AquaLand has a wide variety of rides, which attract many different types of guest to the area. One of the more popular rides is known as the Banzai Boiggan. In this ride, visitors sit on a board to go down a slide which is over twenty three metres long, at such as pace that they are able to surf in the pool below! The water park also has plenty of rides and activities for small children, so they won’t be left out if you bring them along!
Continuing with the water theme for the attractions, many will also find the Algarve’s Zoomarine of interest. The Zoomarine is an oceanography park which is both enjoyable and educational. The third and final attraction to mention in the Algarve is the Zoo. Lagos Zoo is based near Bensafrim and has over two hundred and fifty different animals of more than fifty different types of species. As well as more than two hundred and fifty animals, Lagos Zoo also has a sixty metre long flight tunnel for the observation of exotic birds. Younger guests to the Zoo are also encouraged and they can even experience close contact with a wide selection of different domestic and farm animals.
