Okay in our series I have been trying to teach you the 3 main ways I have used to generate what I call targeted traffic.
What targeted traffic is basically finding your market, knowing who they are and what they want, and putting your ad and your link in front of them, and those that click on that link is what is called targeted traffic.
Targeted traffic is what you get opposed to what you may have been purchasing in the past. Such as buying leads from lead brokers. Sure ask them if there leads are targeted and they will tell you yes.
But lets think about that. The lead they sell you answered a generic home based business type of ad. They sell that over and over again. In other words, the lead you purchased many more people also purchased and will be calling that person.
Now let me ask you, if that lead is targeted, how can they sell it to so many different people in so many different industries? Because they are not targeted.
What we want is someone who answered our specific type of ad, because that person is in our target market.
That brings us to Newsletter Marketing or some might call eZine Advertising. If you don't know what newsletters or ezines are, they are basically online publications or email lists that people sign up for to receive more information, tips, and product recommendations to help them in whatever industry they are in.
There are newsletters for every single type of industry out there. But for our focus we want to focus on those that deal with MLM or Network Marketing, maybe home based business, making money online, etc. The type of people who probably have done mlm network marketing.
By focusing our ads for those types of newsletters, we have narrowed it down so that only people who are in our target market will receive the ad. Hence, those that read the ad and click on our link, is targeted traffic.
Now why this type of advertising is so powerful is because of the types of people who are on this newsletter list. They are people who signed up to receive information because they want to improve their business, they want to learn how to do it better, they want to make more money.
And if you have been following what I have been teaching, your system and your ads should be focused on helping people get that.
So if that is what these people are signed up for, they are the perfect people to advertise to. People looking to get better and more than likely are willing to take action to get better.
So how do we know which newsletter to advertise in? Take notes because I am going to reveal an absolutely killer technique.
What you do is first find the newsletters that are in your industry. You can do a Google search to find them. You can type in "mlm newsletter", "network marketing newsletter", "home based business newsletter", etc. You get the point.
From the results you get back, make a list of about 40. You are going to sign up for all 40 of them. But, make sure you open a free email account with Yahoo or Google to sign up with. You don't want to use your main email and have it flooded with these offers.
Now that you are signed up with them, just watch and wait to see the types of newsletters or emails you receive from them. And read to see if these emails connect with you. Do they build a nice relationship with you? Or are they just blatant ads that turn you off?
The ones you see value in are the ones you are going to target. Obviously the ones that turn you off because they are just blatant ads you don't want to advertise in.
So the ones you target, you want to personally send an email to the owner of the newsletter and tell him you want to advertise in their newsletter. Include a copy of the ad you want to run and ask them what they think. Ask them if similar ads have run recently and what kind of response they received.
You will get good responses back and you advertise in those. That is a secret to saving a lot of money in newsletter advertising.
Of course there is much more to newsletter advertising beyond what I have covered. You can go into what type of ad to run. How to write the ad. Etc. But my main focus was to get you to understand why newsletter advertising is so powerful in generating targeted traffic and hopefully you see that.
