What is the Long Tail and Power of Social Book-marking?

How can you put a limit on learning more?

The Long Tail pertains to a relatively simple concept, that capturing all of the small volume, and will result in a collectively large volume. With regards to the keyword long tail, the idea is that there are only a few words or phrases that receive a large number of searchers, but there are a huge number of obscure phrases or keywords that receive a small number of searches each month. By capturing top ranking for all of the less popular terms you could in effect receive more traffic than you would if you had top ranking for the popular terms.

Capturing the keyword long tail, is very difficult. It requires massive amounts of unique content. Webmasters have generally found the easiest way to generate unique copy is through user-generated content (ie. forums, blog comments, or user reviews).

If you’ve picked some pointers about Long Tail that you can put into action, then by all means, do so. You won’t really be able to gain any benefits from your new knowledge if you don’t use it.

I got about 10,000 hits from Digg and I get 1000 hits from stumble upon daily. There are also a lot of social book-marking sites, which gives easy traffic, but people are unaware of them. So you must be thinking how, right. The answer is simple; by organized voting we can do this. And I must mention all this is absolutely free. This is not only free but also very easy, and I have made it further easy by organizing this whole thing.

Digg: When you submit a story to dig, it starts getting votes. About 50 votes can get your story to Digg’s home page, this could give you about 10k hits to your website, the source of the story.

Stumble: All you have to do is, get a free stumble upon toolbar and start stumbling. And if others stumble your site, then you will get a lot of hits coming from stumble upon to your own website.

Now, it is impossible to get these votes, after all no one votes for charity. This is the reason why we have made a forum for getting the votes http://www.goodwebdirectory.com/forum/ Also these forums are not visible to guests, so you will have to register for free before you can vote or ask for stumbles and digs. This is a complete webmaster forum where all the link selling etc forums are only visible to members. This helps protect members privacy we have made these forums only for registered users. Though the other categories of general talk etc are visible to all.

It is important to follow a bit of rules, like never post live urls if you are asking for dig, also we have a category for all other social book-marking sites, feel free to ask for other book marking votes too. Always vote for others before asking votes for your own sites. Always make a new thread when you ask for dig or stumble. Following these simple rules can help improve this place.

A few points you should know, before you start this:
1) Can your host take about 1000 hits a day, or may be more!
2) Can you make money from that much hits, as too much traffic means too much bandwidth usage?
