This is the final part my dropshipping saga that happened in the Windy City of Chicago where I had very exciting and life changing experiences with four fantastic ladies who had embraced the work from home ethos and taken it to another level.
Those meetings would ensure that I found out the answers to several questions. What is dropshipping?, how to dropship, how to find dropshippers and how to use dropshipping to trade online.
Three fantastic discussions with the ladies and I thought I would not see them again. However, you guessed it, one final session that would ensure a bag full of new seminar material as soon as I returned to the UK. I was to find out that although the ladies were serious about dropshipping there was more, yes much more to come.
One of the major reasons I was in Chicago was to attend a wedding of an old friend. I was all togged up in a smart suit (tuxedo) and waiting in the foyer of the hotel. A limo pulled up and a group was getting out. I recognised the voices and walked over to hold the door. The girls who party climbed out. It turned out one of the ladies was sister of the bride, I knew this was going to be one of those days and it did not disappoint.
I was talking to Sara, I had always had a notion she was the leader of the group. Anyway she said that on our last discussion they had not got round to the subject of content on websites. Also that she knew I would be there and had scribbled some notes on a few bits of paper and handed them to me. There is really nothing to it, home workers have no reason to fear the technology and with the present advances there was clearly every opportunity to now use it to make a business successful.
Their opportunities had been with the development of dropshipping and the associated technology advancements in inventory management systems. But, the new website utilities made use of the internet for business marketing far more accessible for the home working community.
The websites now available through Howtodropship.biz now made total economic sense for business promotion and advertising for many other types of company, not just retailers. The websites could be used for virtually anything. She said many home workers were now using it for simple sites such as, hairdressing salons, baby sitters, home sitters, community groups, information points, small independent traders, skilled craftsmen and artists. In fact all sections of the community could use these simple systems and have an online presence in almost no time at all.
The conversation went onto website content and affiliate schemes. Websites do not have to be filled with hundreds of pages to be a success. They can however make better business sense by attracting good content that is relevant to the site and advertising for other related products and or services. Suitable articles can be obtained from either users of the site or online article banks.
Another rewarding method is to have a range of suitable affiliate programs and banners. This not only brings a website to life but can offer the users other products and services they would otherwise never know about. When ordering from the website each sale is usually rewarded with a commission. But it is very important to keep checking the accuracy of the site, broken links, legal aspects and updating relevant details. A website is possibly the first time a customer will see your business and a bad experience is a lost customer.
Hopefully this series has given you an insight into dropshipping and how it can bring success to the home working community. To recap, those ladies proved that not only do they do lunch, network, party and romance but they have taken opportunities and made things happen and along the way have maintained their integrity and humanity by sharing all their hopes, dreams, ideas and innovations for the home working community. So what happened next? I returned to the UK and now include dropshipping in all my small business seminars on working from home and working women. I try to get the new business hopefuls to look at the website to get a feel and see how easy it could be. I hope my next article in this series will be along the lines of Girls who made the big time.
